High Grace of Bodhisattva Earth Treasure

Yutang Lin

Complex and grandiose are surely attractive to eyes
Unknowingly thoughts and activities turned worldly
Simple and innocent often lack appreciative audience
Yet closer to when Sakyamuni attained enlightenment

The two pieces of tile mentioned in poem1406 can be seen, right in front of
the Bodhisattva Earth Treasure statue, in the attached photo.

May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!

Comments:

Not a few are groups of Buddhists that have large organization and many followers. Nevertheless, due to the mixture of dragons and serpents, under the grandiose surface many worldly thoughts and activities prevailed.

Dharma practitioners who work solidly on practices have no spare time for social functions. All matters in their life are simple, and their intention is innocent. Consequently, they are not attractive to worldly eyes, and they are associated with only a few who shared the same Right Views and are gathered together by holy inspirations.

If the goal of a Buddhist is to attain enlightenment, which kind of practice path is closer to the situation of Siddhartha when he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree?
