Metamorphosis

Yutang Lin

Transformed from larva to butterfly through metamorphosis,
From worldly being to holy one, one must exit entanglement.
To live in tune with the Dharma mind needs to be refreshed.
Self-imposed limitation within familiar steps is one's downfall.

Comment:

Practicing the Dharma is a process of getting rid of one's Self. With genuine devotion to attain enlightenment so as to help awaken all beings, one's life must go through dramatic changes so as to realize renunciation of the worldly ways and escape from entanglements. Claiming to pursue the enlightenment path and yet eventually chose to reaffirm one's own views and stay within familiar steps amount to merely self-deceit.
