Watershed

Yutang Lin

Large river and small brook separate as they encounter watershed.
Dharma stream and worldly ways are divided by self-centeredness.
As innocence prevails all are in oneness as water of the same source.
With sudden arising of walls and barriers they become disconnected.

Comment:

Life of practicing Dharma is like a river of Dharma stream. Having turned and wound for long years there were joining and leaving now and then. As personal considerations could not be overlooked, they became the watershed to divide the river. While minds abiding only on Bodhi will naturally stay with the Dharma stream for long.
