Large Picture Incomprehensible

Dr. Yutang Lin

Sky as described by a frog in a well is only a small sphere.
Large picture unseen, one could never realize the mistakes.
On the path to Enlightenment there are many self-set limits.
Opportunities missed could only be prayed for coming again.

Comment:

As seen by a frog in a well, sky is also rather constricted. Without acquaintance with the large picture, it is extremely difficult for one to be able to reflect and realize the problem. Opportune opportunities missed by such mistakes; one is wasting life within self-set bounds. Attaining full enlightenment is difficult to accomplish simply because one insists on one's own views.
