Urge to Practice

Yutang Lin

Karmic hindrances suddenly arise, rarely anticipated.
Confused and lost as crisis fell on people; 'tis normal.
Practice Dharma in time to settle karmic debts of old.
Merits of Bodhi deeds would help all sentient beings.

Comment:

When would past karma bring retributions,
'Tis hardly predictable for ordinary people.
Suddenly faced crisis, all became deranged;
Powerless to change fate, mind lost in pain.
To amend or improve just abide by Dharma,
One will find peace and help beings around.
Now, still able, one should start practice soon;
Don't wait till facing the pit and cry helplessly.
