Reflection in Silence

Yutang Lin

Some family's farce has aroused much ridicule;
How different could one's own predicament be?
Arbitrarily pointing fingers at, as if being aloof;
Reflect in silence to see uncontrollable common.

Comments:

Some worldly matters in the news have aroused much discussion and ridicule. In fact, such matters are rather common, except that they are usually covered up or hidden away. Those who issue strong criticisms on others would seem to be beyond such problems themselves. Nevertheless, if they could only calm down and reflect beyond self-righteousness, they would probably discover that they themselves are likewise helpless in handling their own problems. To be honest in facing life one should assume compassion instead of ridicule.
