不斷流逝
無從把捉
整體無分
莫妄添減

 

弟子一休請我作偈，以助日常修為，安住於直接經驗。
本來整體無分，無可提起；若有提示，反成「畫蛇添足」。
但是佛法圓融，慈悲無限，而衍生方便多端，也不宜止於靜默。
因此，擇要簡述，願助醒悟！

Shouting Strike

Yutang Lin

 

Incessantly flowing and vanishing
Impossible to halt or grasp
Totality without divisions
Don′t deludedly add or subtract

Disciple Yi Xiu (Rest in One) asked me to compose a Gatha to guide his daily practice in abiding within direct experiences.
Originally the totality has no divisions, and hence nothing to point out. In case of mentioning, it would become "adding legs to a painted snake".
Nevertheless, Dharma teachings are harmonious, and Compassion boundless, and hence ingenuous ways of guidance arise; thus, it is not appropriate to abide in silence.
Therefore, I picked out the essentials and stated them in brief; may the Gatha help awakening!
