因為我們一般都習於在「我執」內的生活
提起「修無我」
就易於想到:要去「我執」
其實「修無我」並不僅是「去我執」

「無我」是實相的境界
是一切無限一體而無從分別
要證入這一究竟的「無我」
却必定需要先將「我執」徹底放失

所以,「修無我」是要從「去我執」入手及著手
但是其義涵絕不止於「去執」
而是企盼由徹底的去執
頓然體悟無限的本來清淨一體

一般修行都有「去執」與「開闊」兩面
「修無我」的極致
却是要在徹底去執之際纔能無限開闊

我們學佛是希望成佛
最好不要時常樂著於小事上
而要以徹底去執以達無限開闊來自勉

Profound Significance of Practicing Non-self

Since ordinarily we are all accustomed to living within the sphere of ″grasping to self″
When ″practicing non-self″ is brought up
We readily think of its meaning as to get rid of ″grasping to self″
Indeed, ″practicing non-self″ is not merely to ″get rid of grasping to self″

″Non-self″ refers to the state of phenomena as they are
It is all in limitless oneness and incapable of making distinctions
To realize this ultimate ″non-self″
It is necessary, first of all, to eradicate ″grasping to self″ thoroughly

Hence, ″practicing non-self″ needs to start with working on getting rid of ″grasping to self″
And yet its significance is certainly not confined within ″getting rid of grasping″
But with the expectation that, through thorough emancipation from grasping
One will suddenly realize mergence into boundless oneness in original purity

Normally Dharma practices have dual aspects of ″getting rid of grasping″ and ″opening up″
And yet the ultimate end of ″practicing non-self″ is that
Only at the brink of thorough freedom from grasping can boundless opening up be realized

As Buddhist practitioners our goal is the attainment of ultimate enlightenment
It is better that we don′t linger on minor matters often
But instead encourage ourselves with the goal that
Through thorough emancipation from grasping we would like to attain boundless opening up
