景物遷化因緣繁，事情成敗難勉強；
停息欲求順自然，生死關頭不用慌。

事情進展，順其因緣，而有其步調，豈能盡如人意？若能停息心中之欲求，而接受事情自然之進展，則平時不用急、無需憂，即使面臨生死關頭，也不用慌張。

Causes and conditions for transient scenes are complex;
Success and failure of attempts could not be compelled.
Stop desiring and expectation to accept natural courses;
At the juncture of life and death no need to feel anxious.

Comment:

Matters evolve in accordance with their causes and conditions, and hence have their own paces. How could they move exactly as people desire? If one could stop desiring and expecting and instead accept the natural courses of events, then in daily life there is no hurry and anxiety, and even at the juncture of life and death there is no need to be nervous.
